Weyauwega is a city in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,900 at the 2010 census. The city is commonly referred to as "Wega" (wy--WEE-g) because the town's origin was a stopping/resting point between two rivers when Native Americans had to portage their canoes. A fur trader built a small building at the location, from which the town later grew. It is located at 44°19N 88°56W (44.322, -88.933).According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.71 square miles (4.43 km²), of which, 1.58 square miles of it is land and 0.13 sq miles (0.34 km²) is water. In the city, the population was spread out, with 25.3% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, and 19.2% from 45 to 64. The gender makeup of the city was 49.7% male and 50.3 per cent female. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,806 people, 720 households, and 460 families living in the city. There were 763 housing units at an average density of 507.7 per square mile (196.4/km²). The racial makeup was 97.84% White, 0.39% Black or African American, 0.22% Native American,0.17% Asian, and 1.11% from two or more races.

The city is located at 44°19N 88°56W (44.322, -88.933) It has a total area of 1.71 square miles (4.43 km²), of which, 1.58 square miles is land and 0.13 sq miles (0.34 km²) is water. The city has a population of 1,788. It is located in the eastern part of the U.S. state of New Mexico. It has an area of 4.43 square miles, or 1.7 square miles. The population of the city is 1,856. Transportation

Weyauwega is located on Wisconsin Highway 110. U.S. Route 10 and Wisconsin Highway 49 are located just south and west of the city. The Yellowstone Trail ran through the city, and its former route is denoted by signs through the downtown and northern portions of theCity. The city is home to the Wisconsin State Fair, which runs through the end of the year. It is also the home of the Wisconsin High School Screaming Contest, which takes place in the summer. The state fair is held every year in the town of Weyau wega, Wisconsin. It runs from August to October. It also runs in the winter, when the city hosts the Wisconsin Badger State Screaming contest. The event is held in the city's downtown area, which is also known as the "Yellowstone Trail" The city also hosts the state fair each year in August and October, and also in the spring and summer of the next year. History

The Waupaca County Fair has been held in Weyauwega since 1874. The event celebrates the past significance of the horse and buggy in the community. In 1996 an 81-car freight train derailed causing a large fire and several explosions from the hazardous materials in the train cars, prompting an evacuation of the town for two weeks until the fires burned out. The annual event features a parade, music and other activities. It is held at the Wau paca county fairgrounds at the East end of the City of Wey Kauwega. The fair is open to the public and costs $5 to $10 per person to attend. It has been running since the early 1960s and is held on the same grounds as the fairgrounds. It was first held in 1874 and has since been held every year since. It's the largest fair in the state and is one of the oldest fairs in the U.S. in terms of square footage. It also has the longest history of all fairs, having been held from 1874 to the early 1980s. It features a horse-drawn carriage parade and other events. The parade is held in honor of the community's rich history of horse- and buggy-related events. It began in 1875 and has now been held since 1961. It takes place in the same location every year.
