Hubbard is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The population was 3,173 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was named for Charles Hubbard, who was an Oregon settler in 1847. The railroad arrived in 1870 and station was situated in the town. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.71 square miles (1.84 km²), all of it land. The median income for a household in the city was $42,552, and the median family income was $24,226. About 11% of the city's population were below the poverty line, including 9.0% of those under 18 and 5.7% over 65 years of age. The average household size was 3.31 and the average family size was3.71. The racial makeup of theCity was 68.87% White, 0.32% African American, 1.93% Native American, 0,48% Asian,0.12% Pacific Islander, 25.61% from other races, and 2.66% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 32.66%. The city is home to the Beven Beven Airfield, a World War II-era airfield. History
Hubbard was named for Charles Hubbard, who was an Oregon settler in 1847. The railroad arrived in 1870 and station was situated in the town. The town was named after Charles Hubbard who was a settler of Oregon. Hubbard was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1847-1870. He died in 1871 and was buried in Hubbard, Oregon. He was buried at Hubbard, which is now part of the City of Hubbard. He is survived by his wife, three children and two grandchildren. He also leaves behind a son and a daughter, who live in Washington state and California. He had a son, who is also a congressman, and a son-in-law, who also lives in Washington State.
