Osco Township is one of twenty-four townships in Henry County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 459 and it contained 193 housing units. Osco changed its name from Essex Township on April 13, 1857. The township has a total area of 36.5 square miles (95 km²), all land. It contains two cemeteries: Grace Episcopal and Morristown. It is in Illinois's 14th congressional district and the 36th state Senate district. It has a population of 459 as of 2010 census. The population of Osco Township was 439 as of the census of 2010. It also contains a school district of 227 students and a community college of 228 students. The town is in the Henry County School District 227. It was established in 1857 and was named Essex Township in 1858. The name Osco was changed to Osco in 1861. The current name is Osco, and it was adopted by the state of Illinois in 1866. The county seat is Geneseo, and the town's population is 459 (as of the Census of 2010, 459 people were living there in 2010). It is located at 41.396424°N 90.298735°W / 41.296424; -90.396524°W, and has an area of 95 km² (36.5 sq miles) The town has no unincorporated towns, but does have two incorporated towns.

It also has one unincorporated town, Osco, which has a population of 1,856. It was founded in 1838. The town was named after the town of Osco in New Hampshire, where it was first laid out in 1837. It's located in the U.S. state of New Hampshire and is part of the New Hampshire Dairies and Drainage Board. Its population was 1,788 in 2010, according to the USGS.
