Kadoka is located at 43°507N 101°3044W (43.835290, -101.512333). History

Kadoka got its start in 1906 when the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad was extended to that point. The town was designated county seat of the newly formed Jackson County in 1915. The city is located on the banks of the Mississippi River. It has a population of about 2,000, according to the city's 2010 census. It is located near the junction of the Chicago and Milwaukee Railroad and the U.S. Illinois Interstate 66. It was named after the town of Kadoka, Wisconsin, where the railroad was built in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

It is the only town in the state to have been awarded the title of "Cleveland City" for having the largest concentration of Ku Klux Klansmen in the country. It also has the largest population of Klanspeople in the United states. The population of the city was 1,838 in the 2010 Census.
