Palm City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Martin County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,120 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Port St. Lucie Metropolitan Statistical Area. The CDP has a total area of 16.6 square miles (43 km²), of which 14.6 sq miles (38 km²) is land and 2.0sq miles (5.2km²) (11.76%) is water. The median income for a household in the CDP was $62,362, and the median price for a family was $69,688 in the 2000 census. In the 2020 census, there were 25,883 people, 9,892 households, and 6,799 families residing in theCDP. Palm City is located 98 miles (158 km) north of Miami and is governed by the Board of County Commissioners. All governmental functions are carried out by the county offices. Police protection is provided by the Martin County Sheriff's Office. Fire and EMS services are provided by Station 21 of Martin County Fire Rescue (Engine 21, Rescue 21, Brush 21, Tanker 21). The city is home to several private schools, including a private elementary school and a private middle and high school. The city has a public library system, with branches in Palm City, Stuart, Fort Lauderdale, and Port St Lucie. It also has a community center, a park, and a golf course.

Geography

The CDP is located in the Miami-Dade County, Florida, area, which is part of the Florida Panhandle. It is located on the Florida Turnpike, which runs from Miami to the Florida Keys. It has a population of 1,856. The town is located near the intersection of I-95 and I-Booker Road, about 20 miles (32 km) south of the city's center. The city's population is about 1,800, according to the United States Census Bureau. The population of Palm City was 1,788 at the 2010 census. The area has a land area of 14.7 square miles, of which 13.4 square miles is land, and 11.2 square miles of water (2.2 km² and 1.6 km²). Palm City is an unincorporated town located in Martin County, Florida. All governmental functions are carried out by the county offices.
