Rosenberg is located in central Fort Bend County at 29°339N 95°4818W (29.552388, 95.804899) It is bordered to the northeast by Richmond, to the south by Pleak, and to the southwest by Beasley. The Southwest Freeway (I-69 and US-59) runs through the south side of Rosenberg, bypassing the city center. Rosenberg is named after Henry Rosenberg, who migrated from Switzerland to Galveston, Texas in 1843. Rosenberg has a humid subtropical climate, Cfa on climate maps. The population was 38,282 at the 2020 census, up from 30,618 at the 2010 census. It is located within the HoustonThe WoodlandsSugar Land metropolitan area. The city is served by the Lamar Independent School District. The main library operates the main library, the George Memorial Library, in Richmond. The library underwent extensive renovations in 2013 and reopened with new technology, media rooms, and design room. It also operates the Bud O'Shieles Community Center in Rosenberg, which includes an auditorium, meeting centers, and centers for elderly people. The public schools in Rosenberg include Lamar Independent High School, Lamar Consolidated School District, and the Rosenberg Independent Public Schools. The school district operates two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The high school has a combined enrollment of 6,000 students. It has a total area of 22.5 square miles (58.4 km²), of which 22.4 square miles are land.

History

Rosenberg is the primary city name, but also Fulshear are acceptable city names or spellings. The official name is Rosenberg, Texas. Rosenberg is named after Henry Rosenberg, who migrated from Switzerland to Galveston, Texas in 1843. Rosenberg was the first president of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway. Rosenberg is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was born in Switzerland and raised in Texas. He is the son of Henry Rosenberg and his wife, Mary, who moved to Texas from Switzerland. He has three children, all of whom are now living in the U.S. with their own families. He also has a son and a daughter-in-law who are living in New York City and Los Angeles. He died in a car crash in 2007. He had a son, Henry Rosenberg Jr., who is also a politician and a former mayor of Houston, Texas. His daughter, Mary Rosenberg, is married to Texas Gov. Rick Perry and has a daughter, Barbara Rosenberg. He lived in Texas until his death in 2008, when he moved to New York to live with his wife and two children. He passed away in 2009, leaving behind a wife and three children. His son is currently living in Los Angeles, California, with his daughter and her husband. He will be buried in Texas in a private ceremony in the town of Rosenberg, Texas, on November 11, 2009. He previously lived in Houston and died in 2010 in a house fire in Texas, which he had built in the early 1900s. His wife, Barbara, died in 2011 in a fire that he had also built.

Rosenberg is located in central Fort Bend County at 29°339N 95°4818W (29.552388, 95.804899) It is bordered to the northeast by Richmond, to the south by Pleak, and to the southwest by Beasley. The Southwest Freeway (I-69 and US-59) runs through the south side of Rosenberg, bypassing the city center. According to the Köppen climate classification system, Rosenberg has a humid subtropical climate, Cfa on climate maps. The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 22.5 square miles (58.4 km²) of which 22.2 square miles are land and 0.04 square miles of water. The city has an elevation of 29.5 feet (9.5 meters) and has a population of 1,856. The area has an area of 0.25 square miles, or 0.1 km², of which 0.4 square miles is land. It has an average rainfall of 1.2 inches (4.7 millimeters) per year. The town has a history of more than 2,000 years. It is located on the Brazos River, which flows through the center of the city and into the Gulf of Mexico. It was named after Rosenberg, Texas, which was founded in the 17th century.

Demographics

As of the 2020 United States census, there were 38,282 people, 12,636 households, and 8,613 families residing in the city. The racial makeup of the city was 65.69% White, 8.53% African American, 0.37% Native American, and 0.38% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 54.96% of the population. The median household income was $35,510 and the median family Income was $39,965. Arts and culture

Fort Bend County Libraries operates the George Memorial Library, the main library, in Richmond. The main library was originally located in Rosenberg, near the Polly Ryon hospital, and moved to Richmond in 1986. The library underwent extensive renovations in 2013 and reopened with new technology, media rooms, and room design. It is located in the former home of the Fort Bend County Jail, which was closed in the 1970s. The jail is now located in a former prison that was shut down in the 1980s. It was reopened in the 1990s and is now known as Fort Bend Correctional Facility, where the jail is located. It has been the home of Fort Bend correctional facility since the 1950s, when the jail was closed. The prison is now called Fort Bend State Hospital, which opened in the 1960s and was located near the Rosenberg hospital. The hospital has since been moved to a new location in Richmond, and the library is now in the center of a new development. It opened in 1986 and is known as George Memorial library, after the library's founder, George George, was named the first president of the county library board. The city is also home to a private school, Holy Rosary School, which is a K-8 school run by the Catholic Arch Diocese ofGalveston and the Episcopal Church of the Incarnate Word. The town has a population of about 2,000 people (as of the 2010 census) and is located near the Texas-Louisiana border. It is located on the Texas Turnpike, which runs from Houston to San Antonio, and the Texas Texas Interstate 70. The Texas Interstates and Texas Highways and Texas-Texas Collin County, which connect to the Intersection of the I-10, The Lamar Conveyor County and the Laredo Expressway, which connects to the Texas State University System.
