West Greenwich is a town in Kent County, Rhode Island, United States. It was named for the historic town of Greenwich, Kent, England. The town has a total area of 51.3 square miles (133 km²) The town is split into three senatorial districts. It is part of Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district, which is currently represented by James R. Langevin. In 2016, Donald Trump won the town by 23.5 points, the best performance for a Republican in the town in three decades. Students go to Exeter-West Greenwich Regional School in West Greenwich. The median household income was $65,725 and the median family income was $71,332. The per capita income for the town was $25,750, with 4.2% of the population and 2.5% of families living below the poverty line. In the 2000 census there were 5,085 people, 1,749 households, and 1,451 families in theTown. The racial makeup of the town is 97.70% White, 0.28% African American, 0,24% Native American, and 0.24% Asian. The population density was 100.4 inhabitants per square mile (38.8/km²). Geography
West Greenwich is the primary city name, but also W Greenwich are acceptable city names or spellings. The official name is West Greenwich, Rhode Island. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 51.3 square miles (133 km²) of which, 50.6 square miles of it is land. Escoheag Hill is located within the town and is the site of a former ski area. Wickaboxet State Forest is also located in West Greenwich. The town is home to the New England Shakespeare Festival, which runs through the end of the year. It is also the home of the Connecticut Shakespeare Company, which has been in existence since the 17th century. The village of West Greenwich has a population of 1,816. It has a history of being the site for the filming of the film "The Godfather" and "The Lord of the Rings" The town also hosts the annual Connecticut Shakespeare Festival which runs from September to December. It also has a number of historic buildings, including the former home of President John F. Kennedy, who was born in the town in 1805. It was named after the town's founder, George W. Greenwich, who is buried in a hilltop cemetery in the center of the town. In the town, there are also several historic homes, including one that dates back to the 18th century and another that dates to the early 19th century, when the town was first laid out. The name Greenwich means "West Greenwich" in English and "Greenwich" means "green" or "green". The town's name is derived from the word "green", which means "peaceful" and means "beautiful".

The current post office has been open since 1971. It has a population of 5,816. Kettle before his resignation in February 2018 following a sex scandal. The other, District 21, is currently vacant but is currently held by Democrat Leonidas P. Raptakis. The town is located on the eastern tip of the island, near the tip of Narragansett Bay and the eastern edge of the Cape Cod Peninsula. It is located in the state's central business district, just south of the town's eastern tip, and has a population of about 2,000. It's in the central part of the state that Rhode Island is located, and it's on the east side of the peninsula that is home to the town of Narragoansett, where the town was founded in 17th century. The state's eastern edge is also home to Narragoan Bay, which was once the site of the city's first port of entry to the U.S. and is now a popular tourist destination.
