Arion is located at 41°5657N 95°2747W (41.949194, -95.462955) The city has a total area of 0.48 square miles (1.24 km²), all land. The community was named for Arion, an ancient Greek poet. It was a part of the Dower Valley Community School District until July 1, 1994, when it merged into the Boyer Valley district. The population of the city was 97 at the 2020 census, and is expected to rise to 108 by the end of the decade. The city is located in Crawford County, Iowa, along the boyer River. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates the city's population will rise to 97 by 2020, and will reach 108 by that time. It is located on the banks of theBoyer River, which flows through the city. History

The community was named for Arion, an ancient Greek poet. The community is located on the banks of the river of the same name. It was founded in the early 20th century by a group of Greek settlers. The town is now home to a community of about 2,000 people. It is located near the town of Arion in the north of the province of Haut d'Haut, near the city of Dothan, Haut-Dhaut, and near the village of Lourdes. It has a population of about 1,000. It has a combined enrollment of 3,200 students, including 1,200 in the high school and 1,100 in the middle school. The high school has an enrollment of 1,300 students, the school district's lowest. It also has a high school, which opened in the 1970s, and an elementary and middle school, both of which were closed in the 1980s and 1990s.
