Willows is a city and the county seat of Glenn County, California, located in the Sacramento Valley region of Northern California. The city is a home to regional government offices, including the California Highway Patrol, California Department of Motor Vehicles, and the United States Bureau of Reclamation. Mendocino National Forest comprises about one million acres (404,686 ha) of Federal land located mostly in mountainous terrain west of Willows. The population was 6,293 at the 2020 census. The Willow post office opened in 1862; the name was changed to Willows in 1916. The current post office building, which was built in 1918, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Willows has a Hot-summer Mediterranean climate (Csa) according to the Köppen climate classification system. At the 2010 census Willows had a population of 6,166, with 2,399 housing units at an average density of 835.0 per square mile (322.4/km²),of which 2,173 were occupied, 1,148 (52.8%) by the owners and 1,025 (47.2%) by renters. There were 225 (10.4%) unmarried opposite-sex partnerships, and 7 (0.3%) same-sex married couples or partnerships in the city in 2010. The median age was 32.6 years, with 1,783 people (28.9%) under the age of 18, 614 people (10.0%) aged 18 to 24, 1, 542 people (25.0%), and 782 people (12.7%) who were 65 or older.
History
The Willow post office opened in 1862; the name was changed to Willows in 1916. The current post office building, which was built in 1918, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Willows Auxiliary Field (1942-1945) was used for training World War II pilots. The Willow Post Office is located in the town of Willows, New Hampshire. The post office is located on the corner of Willow Road and Willows Avenue. The name of the post office was changed from Willow to Willow in 1916; the current name is Willows. It is located near the Willows High School, which opened in 1861. The building is on the U.S. Army Post Office property, which is also on the N.R.H.E.P.L. list of historic buildings. It has been used as a post office since 1918, when it was built by the Post Office Company of New Hampshire, a predecessor to the current Post Office Department. It was built on the site of the former Willow High School in the early 20th century.

The city is located in the U.S. state of New Mexico, and has a population of 2,856. It is the only city in New Mexico that is not in the state of Nevada. The town is located on the New Mexico Turnpike, which runs through the town of Willows. It was the site of the World War II Battle of the Bulge, which took place in World War I. It has a post-World War II population of 1,854. It also has a Post-World-War-II population of 3,788. It had a population increase of 1.2% in the 1990s. It suffered a population decline of 1% in 2000. It lost 1.3% of its population in the 2010s. The population has increased by 1.4% since 2000. The U.N. Federally, Willow is in California's 3rd congressional district,represented by Democrat John Garamendi. Willows was a member of the California House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009. He was elected to the California Senate in 2008, and the California Assembly in 2010. He served in the state Senate from 2008 to 2010, and was re-elected to the Assembly in 2012 and 2013. He is currently serving his third term in the Senate, and his fourth in the Assembly. He lives in Willows with his wife and two children. He has been married to his wife, Barbara, since 1998. He had a son, Will, who was born in 2008. He also has a daughter, who is a daughter-in-law, and a son who is also a son- in-law. He currently lives with his family in the town of Willows, California, and is a father-of-two. He previously served as mayor of Willow, California in the 1980s and 1990s, when the town was part of the San Francisco Bay Area. He ran for the U.S. Senate in 2010 and 2012, but lost to Democrat Tom Tancredo. He now lives in the Los Angeles suburb of L.A. and serves in the California State Senate, where he is represented by Republican James Gallagher.
